Source hierarchy
- Primary: Shueisha and V Jump, MANGA Plus, VIZ Media, Studio Pierrot, TV Tokyo, the official NARUTO & BORUTO accounts, and on-record statements by the creators.
- Reliable secondary: established outlets that cite primary sources, such as Anime News Network.
- Unverified: leaks, anonymous accounts, translations without a source. We report on these only to check them.
Credibility labels
- Official — confirmed by a primary source.
- Reliable source — reported by a reliable secondary outlet, not yet confirmed by a primary source.
- Unconfirmed — circulating, but with no reliable confirmation.
- Analysis — our interpretation; facts used in it are still sourced.
- Debunked — checked and found false or misleading.
